33 Nicholas St, Layerthorpe, York YO10 3ES, UK
£110 pppw
The property would be bearable if the Landlords weren’t dreadful. At a glance, this is a student house with decently sized rooms and all the required amenities but the reality of living in it reveals just how misleading first impressions can be.
The Landlords broke their contract multiple times: firstly they falsely advertised the property, then they consistently entered the property without giving notice (one time bringing a house viewing group with them) and whenever they were contacted they would go out of their way to be rude to us. In particular, the false advertisement was shocking, and is certainly something you should look out for with any house in York. When we viewed the property we noticed a TV in the living room which had featured in the list of amenities on the advertisement, upon moving into the property this TV was there but as it turns out it didn’t work. When we contacted the Landlord requesting it be fixed or replaced (as it was advertised and therefore we were paying for it already) the Landlord removed it from the advertisement on their website and despite us contacting them to inform them we knew they had done this they refused to make amends.
I cannot stress to you just how dreadful the Landlords, AP York, are at their jobs – their disdain for students is palpable and I recommend that they are not used by anyone who values their quality of housing.
